Gartlemann Wines Long Lunch

On Saturday, 2 March 2024, 37 of the IMSMC family participated in a long lunch at Gartelmann Winery in Lovedale.

Our day began with a meet at McDonalds in Thornleigh for a 9.30am departure and travel via the M1 north bound. The duties of our "Mobile Mechanics" Tony Albanese & Gerardo Mediati were called upon, but I’m happy to report that we all made it to Gartelmann’s and safely home (though it was a little challenging at times!).

On arrival to the winery we were greeted by a significant downpour, and all guests received a welcome refreshment. Wine tasting was undertaken and soon after a delicious and abundant lunch was served. Many enjoyed seeing our chef, Matt Dillow, prepare a spectacular "Steak Fiorentina" for our main course.

After leaving the winery, we progressed onto our accommodation point at Wine Country Motor Inn, with Saturday night spent at the Cessnock Leagues Club (next door to the hotel), most opting for a very light meal.

A great weekend, and one which we shall replicate again!
